RESIDENCE PERMIT UNDER THE DIGITAL NOMAD PROGRAM
A residence permit that allows remote workers and freelancers to legally live in Spain and the European Union. The residence permit is issued for 3 years when applied for in Spain.
The program is available to non-European Union citizens who work remotely for companies outside Spain. Suitable for freelancers and remote workers.
Requirements:
- You are employed by a legal entity and can perform functions remotely. . You are an individual entrepreneur/self-employed (freelance) and provide remote services to legal entities.
- You can provide a certificate of no criminal record.
- You have completed higher education or have more than 3 years of work experience. Work experience: minimum 3 months at current place of work. Employer: must be officially registered for at least one year
- You are in Spain with a Schengen visa or you can enter the country to apply with a valid visa.
- You have a minimum confirmed monthly income of 2646 euros.
- Review of documents by the Spanish Migration Service within 30 days.
- Residence permit is issued for 3 years when applied for in Spain. Extension up to 5 years. after 10 years of residence, obtaining citizenship. Possibility of serving with the whole family.
- Possible tax benefits of the Beckham Law.
- The applicant can work with Spanish companies, but earn no more than 20% of the total income from them. Members of the applicant’s family can work in Spain without restrictions.
- You can move with your common-law partner.
- Medical insurance is paid. Insurance works all over the world.
INVESTOR VISA (GOLDEN VISA PROGRAM by property investment)
The advantages of the Golden visa are numerous. Firstly, it is the quickest way of obtaining a Spanish visa or resident permit. The acquisition of the property can take approximately 40-50 business days depending on external factors and the application process for the residence permit takes a maximum of 20 days.
Secondly, the Golden visa gives you a freedom to travel within the Schengen area and can be renovated without the need to become a tax resident in Spain (hence you will enjoy many tax benefits). The application for the Golden visa can be launched from inside of Spain directly after entering Spain as a tourist.
Thirdly, it is possible to include a spouse or unmarried partner, financially dependent children of any age and financially dependent parents of the main applicant and/or their spouse who are 65 years and older.
Furthermore, the Golden visa gives you access to the public healthcare and education systems in the country.
The Golden Visa allows all holders to work anywhere in Spain.
The requirements for obtaining the Golden visa by property investment are as follows:
• The Investment must be made without financing regarding the first 500.000,00 €.
• The investment can include one or multiple properties and the properties can be rented out.
• Properties can be bought and sold, so long as the investment threshold is maintained.
The following documents are required for a Golden Visa application:
• A valid Passport issued from a non-EU country;
• A private medical insurance issued by a company operating in Spain;
• Proof of no criminal records in Spain;
• The property registration certificate and the purchase notarial deed.
The visa’s initial duration is one year and it can be renewed for two years if the investment is maintained. After five years, investors can apply for permanent residency in Spain.
NON-LUCRATIVE VISA (Residence in Spain with no economic purpose)
It allows to stay in Spain for up to a year, then for renewal periods of two years.
After living in Spain for five consecutive years, it is possible to apply for permanent residence.
- Spouse and children under 18 years of age (in some cases up to 21 years of age) follow the main applicant without providing income documents. It is also possible to attach parents.
- Education in schools for children with this type of residence permit is free.
- Short-term stay in Europe at least 1.5 months per year to maintain residence.
